Beauty, Everywhere

I guess you’ve got me figured out – I loves me some plants.  Every day, I work closely with plant oils, developing products that leverage their benefits and maximize their good effects for my customers, so it might come as a surprise that I sometimes lose track of one simple fact:

Plants are more than just useful – they are also simply beautiful.

With their allure and healthful benefits, it makes sense that plants are a big part of our holiday celebrations – poinsettias, Christmas trees, Hanukkah bushes, and that timeless Yuletide symbol, the wreath.

Wreaths are all about the eternal, with their circular shape and evergreen bases.  I always see them as symbols of balance and beauty, physical AND spiritual.

I appreciate the appearance of wreaths each December. They’re a terrific reminder to enjoy these days, because even when we are involved in something we love, like making Christmas cookies, stringing up the lights, or buying the perfect present, sometimes we forget the charm in it all.  Wreaths symbolize two very important things:  every aspect of our lives are interconnected and that most of it is quite beautiful.

And, oh!, they smell so good!
